Oh Boy, oh boy, oh boy.
So it’s time for our second blog post. Time for me to tell you all the amazing accomplishments we’ve done in the past week. Well here’s the thing. Not much has been done. We finally figured out who to call at the foster care company and its time for a script. Brian has been thoughtful enough to be the one to call the company. We’re in the middle of writing a script, so when we talk with the company we seem formal and know what we’re doing. Then we can start buys toys and gifts. I have high hopes for this. I believe that we’ll be giving permission to go out and buy a few toys and games for a child, whatever they want (within a reasonable price range of course ). Melvin and Brian have there doubts, but we won’t know until we call on Monday or Tuesday ( Or whenever we finish the script ) Once we are giving a list of items the kid wants, I have volunteered to be the one to go out and do the buying. Im betting the child will be very pleased with what they receive. And for me that my goal, to bring joy to children in foster care. Well that's just about all I have for this blog post. I hope I will be able to bring some good news next week. Have a lovely day, and rember to smile and wave. - Gannon

Hello there. The name’s Gannon and i’m with my two buddies Brian and Melvin. And now it’s time to start on our grand project. There are loads of kids living in foster care, some we know. Our goal is for at least 2 months ( December and March ) produce a few care packages for a few foster families in the community. They will contain goodies, like toys, games, and other fun objects. The plan for contacting the foster parents is simple. We are having Brian contact a friend he knows from his church. He’s gonna explain our goals and give them me and Melvins contacts. Hopefully if things go according to plan he and/or she will contact one of us and we will get started on Phase 2. Which will be a blast.
Phase 2 may be even easier than Phase 1. The next step is to get a list of toys and game for a special kid in foster care, because we want them to get things they love. Over the course of the month we will buy the goodies for the children. Then in December we’ll either deliver the packages ourselves or more likely; give them to foster care services. Then do the same in January and February, and deliver in March. But we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. I’m hoping for another positive report next week. Have a lovely day, and rember to smile and wave. - Gannon |
